Do I need a pre-crusher or just a bigger stationary compactor?

If your waste is mostly loose dry material with occasional bulky items, a heavy-duty stationary unit may do. If pallets, drums, or furniture are a daily fact of life, a pre-crusher will outlast and outperform anything else. Send us photos of your waste stream and we will give you a straight answer.

Can a pre-crusher handle metal drums?

Yes: crushing steel drums (empty and rinsed) is a classic pre-crusher duty, along with banding, strapping, and light structural scrap.

What maintenance do they need?

Hydraulics, packing, and wear surfaces on a schedule. Our preventive maintenance plans keep cycle force where the spec sheet says it should be, and our shop rebuilds floors and wear surfaces when the years add up.
