A self-contained compactor combines the compaction unit and the container into one sealed, leak-tight body. When the container is full, the whole machine is hauled away, emptied, and returned. Nothing drips on the pad and nothing leaks down the street behind the truck.

That makes self-contained units the standard answer for wet waste: grocery stores, restaurants and commissaries, hospitals and care facilities, hotels, and food processors. If your waste stream has liquid in it, this is almost certainly your machine, and health inspectors agree.

What’s the difference between self-contained and stationary compactors?

A self-contained compactor is one sealed unit (compactor and container together) hauled away as a whole. A stationary compactor stays bolted to your pad and pushes waste into a detachable receiver container. Wet waste needs self-contained; dry waste usually runs cheaper on stationary.

How often will it need to be hauled?

A properly sized self-contained unit typically cuts pickups from daily-or-every-other-day dumpster service down to once every one to two weeks, depending on volume. We size it from your current hauling history.

Do you install and maintain them?

Yes: full turnkey install (pad, power, chutes or through-wall feed if needed) plus preventive maintenance and emergency repair from our own techs. We service all brands.
